Self Love

Our life revolves around the basic principles of love and compassion. We are a social human being and perceive and project our dreams and aspirations through the lenses of the people around us and the society.  Somehow during this process of evolution, we inadvertently forget self love. Self love is an extremely vital aspect of one’s existence as it is important to realise that it is your desires, your expectations from life, the reasons for your longevity in life that should define and shape up the life that you want to lead and not based on someone else’s or the society’s whims and fancies. Self love helps you to give direction to your life and the things that you aspire for as an individual. It also gives birth to an extremely important and a residual part of human existence that is Self Esteem. Our self esteem determines how much can we give or take as an individual pertaining to different situations and different aspects of life. Self esteem however must not overshadow or

Old Age Homes & Parents

It takes 9 months of utmost care, pain, love, emotions and above all immense mental and physical sacrifice to bring you into this world by your parents. It takes another 2 years of sacrifice and patience to help you stand and observe the world around you. Yet another 10 years of grinding love and care to help you walk, talk and make you more self-sufficient to be able to understand and acknowledge things on your own. As you get into the adolescence stage a mother and a father gives their heart and soul in your upbringing, not just emotionally but also financially. And finally as you enter the psychological and culturally defined stages of Adulthood, parents stand behind you as your guiding force, ensuring that you achieve the best that is possible. Parent’s contribution in a child’s life is unquantifiable. The struggle and the sacrifice that they go through in making you who you are, is a testimony to the fact that they are next to GODS if not more for all of us. Then comes a sta

An Ode to my Grandmother

I am a part of you. My thoughts have been shaped by the principles you imbibed in me. I am kindest to the weak and toughest to the punk. Honesty is something that governs my actions, you haven’t taught me to fudge relations, I value people who are straightforward and modest and haven’t learnt to stand double faceted people. I feel blessed to have learnt the values of simplicity and patience. My struggle would not have been sweeter, but for your support. My maturity stems from your steadying touch, my compassion towards life and mankind is a prelude to you. People love me for the person you have made out of me, people adore me for the values you taught me, people look up to me finding a part in me of you. You have taught me to pray, you have taught me to help, you have taught me to be the best I can and yet be the modest of all. I have learnt to stand tall against fear, I have learnt to fight till my last breath. My life that I have seen and yet to see, will be a testament to you. But

Mental Health

We live in a world where money, fame, success is what determines your status quo. Love, empathy, warmth, compassion, care, solicitude have just become words hidden under the burden of your social status. Depression stems from this very philosophy of life. We as human beings are blinded by the ignanimous fame that never really exists. It is up to us to realise what really has meaning in life, before we or someone we love is a subject to this deadly disease, causing significant amount of mental unrest and subsequently an extremely fragile state of mind leading to SUICIDE. It is important to realise that the society we live in is an extremely miniscule part of our existence and that our eternal existence, without having to depend on opinions and perceptions is what really matters at the end of the day. It is important to realise and introspect for each one of us that our life is equally as important to us, as it is for our loved ones. The barrage of emotional distress that our pass
