Mental Health

We live in a world where money, fame, success is what determines your status quo. Love, empathy, warmth, compassion, care, solicitude have just become words hidden under the burden of your social status. Depression stems from this very philosophy of life. We as human beings are blinded by the ignanimous fame that never really exists. It is up to us to realise what really has meaning in life, before we or someone we love is a subject to this deadly disease, causing significant amount of mental unrest and subsequently an extremely fragile state of mind leading to SUICIDE.

It is important to realise that the society we live in is an extremely miniscule part of our existence and that our eternal existence, without having to depend on opinions and perceptions is what really matters at the end of the day. It is important to realise and introspect for each one of us that our life is equally as important to us, as it is for our loved ones. The barrage of emotional distress that our passing away might cause to our loved ones, might be even more than the distress that triggered us to take our lives. It is absolutely fine to feel lonely, helpless, miserable for reasons and situations beyond our control including education, relationships, health, wealth, self-esteem, self-love and much much more. We are all human beings and our minds are conditioned in a way that we react to situations that govern our lives, however, we need to stop and delve deep inside and confabulate with ourselves, we need to convince ourselves that things and situations could have been much more unfavourable and that we still have, whatever we have to hold on to, giving us the energy and a yearning for Life which we had somehow lost during the way. We need to respect and enjoy whoever we are, in whatever shape or form, in whatever colour or creed, in whatever capacity of health or wealth. It is that spiritual force somewhere above that gave us this life and it is our duty and our responsibility to live life in the most beautiful of forms and the most courageous of forms that we can.

We might not be the most wealthiest, the most charming, the most beautiful (outer beauty), but if we have the passion and the tenacity to embrace life in all its forms with a smile, we are the most beautiful human beings that GOD could have ever created. Learn from your mistakes, learn from your situations, let those be stepping stones to something more incredible and powerful and create the life that you have always dreamt of. Let your depression turn into your will to succeed and prove to yourself that you still love and respect yourself. Suicide is and never was the solution to any amount of suffering that you might have to undergo. Learn to live without fear with a belief that somewhere up, there is a spiritual grace that would lead us through all our difficulties and give us all our answers if only we believed and trusted ourselves.

Recently, one of the young Bollywood Stars, Sushant Singh Rajput, took away his life, possibly due to the work – stress or the bullying and intimidation that he might be undergoing over the last few years. It was extremely heartbreaking to let that reality sink in.
I know how it feels like to be bullied and intimidated by someone and thus, I thought I would share my thoughts.
